Approach
The seven stages below are the operating system that runs every deal Current does, on every arm. The diagram is not illustrative. It is the machine.
Find
Current identifies overlooked businesses using a scoring model calibrated to the exit buyer specified at Stage 6. The output of Find is a ranked list of targets whose cash flow is already proven and whose delivery layer is a candidate for agentic rebuild.
Acquire
Current enters on terms that respect the seller's position — options and seller financing where appropriate, direct purchase where the structure demands it. The output of Acquire is a signed agreement and a clean handoff from an owner to the rebuild team.
Shed
Current removes the legacy cost structure that made the business uneconomic at its current delivery model. The output of Shed is a simpler business with a smaller monthly burn and a clear path to the rebuild.
Rebuild
Current replaces the delivery layer with agents — the same move on a campground that it is on a SaaS company, applied to different substrates. The output of Rebuild is a business that serves its existing customers at a materially lower cost to serve.
Reposition
Current reframes the rebuilt business against the criteria of the specific buyer named at Stage 6, whether that is a PE sponsor assembling a platform or a strategic acquirer expanding a product line. The output of Reposition is a business that reads, on the buyer's desk, as a thing they were already looking for.
Exit
Current sells into the buyer specified before the first dollar was spent on the deal. The output of Exit is a closed transaction and a cash flow event that funds the next cycle.
Cash Flow
Current returns capital and reinvests into the next set of targets on the same playbook. The output of Cash Flow is the firm itself, compounding.
The seven stages do not change between Real Assets and Tech, because the stages describe a capital and operating sequence that is indifferent to the substrate. What changes is what is acquired, what is shed, and what the rebuilt delivery looks like. A campground rebuilt with agents is still a campground; a SaaS company rebuilt with agents is still a SaaS company. The machine is the same; the room it runs in is different.
The diagram runs whether its operator is in the room or not.
